2nd generation Bamboo Ink pen, available for Wakcom, PC or tablet-excluding tax from 5500 yen
On June 18th, Vacom released the "Bamboo Ink" (second generation) and "Bamboo Ink Plus" stylus that can be used on PC and tablets. Bamboo Ink is scheduled to go public on June 27, and Bamboo Ink Plus will go public in mid-August. In terms of direct selling price, Bamboo Ink does not include tax of 5500 yen and Bamboo Ink Plus does not include tax of 11500 yen.
Bamboo Ink (second generation) and Bamboo Ink Plus support the high performance stylus of both Microsoft's Microsoft Pen protocol (MPP) and Vacom's active ES (active electrostatic coupling mode: AES) protocol. If it is a PC or tablet corresponding to a protocol, it can be used as a stylus for handwriting.
Bamboo Ink (second generation)
The new Bamboo Ink is a shortlisted model with a focus on price reduction, starting from the Bamboo Ink (9698 yen including tax) released in July 2017. Omitting the replacement core of the quick corresponding top key and standard accessories carried in previous models, the direct sales tax does not include 5500 yen, and the price is moderate, which is one of its major features.
The fuselage design has changed from a traditional triangular fuselage to an aluminum cylindrical fuselage such as a pen. On the other hand, the battery drive time increased from 5 months to 15 months (2 hours a day, 5 times a week).
In terms of function, it is equipped with 4096 level pen pressure sensing and two side switches. The protocol supports AES1.0,MPP1.5. The tip of the pen (refill) is the same as before. It does not support tilt detection. The power supply is a single 6-shaped dry cell.
Bamboo Ink Plus
Bamboo Ink Plus is a more versatile advanced model than the Bamboo Ink mentioned above.
As a large evolutionary point, the power supply has changed from a traditional single six-shaped dry cell to a built-in rechargeable lithium polymer battery. Charging from the USB Type-C port located on the side of the main body takes about 3 hours and lasts for 10 days (2 hours a day, 5 times a week). In addition, the tip (refill) is refreshed to a new sharp shape, such as a pencil. It is said that the ON load is lighter than the Bamboo Ink and has evolved to write with high precision.
The fuselage design inherits the triangular fuselage and will continue to carry the top button of the corresponding shortcut. There are two side buttons. The pen pressure is detected at 4096 levels, and there is also a tilt detection. The protocol supports AES1.0/2.0,MPP 1.5max 2.0.
The pen tip is set by the standard median, with two kinds of hard (white / blue) and soft (gray) and three core changes. In addition, the blue core is the core used when the undulating lines in some old equipment can not be described properly. Wakang published a list of Blue Core's corresponding equipment on its official website.
