Simultaneous viewing with up to 100 people! Amazon Prime Video's new feature "Watch Party" started in Japan
Amazon Prime Video's new feature "Watch Party" started in Japan on October 19th. Video content such as movies and dramas can now be viewed by up to 100 people at the same time on a web browser.
Now, when you access Amazon Prime Video from your PC browser, you'll see a "Watch Party" link on the show's episode page. For the viewing procedure, click the link and enter your name to create a URL that will be displayed. Share the invitation link with Prime Video users of other Prime members and start watching at the same time (start, pause, skip can only be done by the host). In addition, since you can chat while watching Amazon Prime Video, you can exchange impressions in real time.
Please note that downloaded content, Prime Video Channel, and rented/purchased content cannot be viewed in "Watch Party". It is available for desktop web browsers (except Safari), other devices such as Fire TVs, smart TVs, game consoles, media streaming devices, smartphones and tablets are not currently supported.
