"Yoga Tab 13", which can use new models of Android tablets as mobile displays, etc.: MWC Barcelona 2021 (page 1/2)

On June 27th (US Eastern Time), Lenovo announced five new Android tablets. The deployment of the new model in Japan is undecided.

Yoga Tab 13 (released sequentially from June)

　The "Lenovo Yoga Tab 13" is a 13-inch Android tablet equipped with a stand that can be hung on a hook on the wall. Equipped with a Micro HDMI input terminal, it can also be used as an external mobile display for notebook PCs and smartphones. The estimated sales price including VAT in Europe starts at 799 euros (approximately 105,600 yen).

　The processor (SoC) is equipped with Qualcomm's "Snapdragon 870". The main memory is 8GB (LPDDR5X), and the built-in storage is 128GB or 256GB depending on the model. The OS pre-installs Android 11.

　The display is a 13-inch LTPS (low-temperature polysilicon) liquid crystal that supports 2160 x 1350 pixel display, and is also capable of displaying Dolby Vision standard HDR (high dynamic range). The maximum brightness is 400 nits and the refresh rate is 60Hz. If you prepare "Lenovo Precision Pen 2" (sold separately), it also supports pen input. At the top of the display is an 8-megapixel in-camera.

　The speakers are tuned by JBL and have a quad configuration with two 1.5W output and two 2W output. Surround playback with Dolby Atmos is also possible.

　Ports has a Micro HDMI input terminal and a USB 3.1 Type-C terminal. The Micro HDMI input terminal is HDCP 1.4 compliant and can display video content with valid copyright protection. The USB 3.1 Type-C terminal doubles as video output by DisplayPort 1.4 Alternate Mode and power input compliant with Quick Charge 3.0. Since there is no earphone / microphone combo jack, if you want to input and output audio by wire, you need to separately prepare a device that conforms to USB Audio.

　Wireless communication supports Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.2. Sensors include an accelerometer, an electronic compass and an ambient light sensor.

　The body size is about 293.35 (width) x 203.98 (height) x 6.2-24.9 (depth) mm, and the weight is about 890g. The battery capacity is about 10,000 mAh.

Yoga Tab 11 (released sequentially from July)

　The "Lenovo Yoga Tab 13" is an 11-inch Android tablet, and like the Yoga Tab 11, it has a stand that can be hung on a hook on the wall. Models with LTE communication functions that can be used conveniently on the go are also available. The estimated sales price including VAT in Europe starts at 349 euros (about 46,000 yen).

　Equipped with MediaTek's "Helio G90T" processor. The main memory (LPDDR4X) and storage are a combination of 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB depending on the model. The OS pre-installs Android 11.

　The display is an 11-inch LCD that supports 2000 x 1200 pixel display. The maximum brightness is 400 nits and the refresh rate is 60Hz. If you prepare "Lenovo Precision Pen 2" (sold separately), it also supports pen input. Both the out (rear) and in (front) cameras are equipped with sensors of approximately 8 million pixels, but the autofocus (AF) function is installed only in the out camera. The in-camera has a wide angle setting of 90 degrees.

　The port is equipped with a USB 2.0 Type-C terminal. The USB 2.0 Type-C terminal also supports power input via USB Power Delivery (USB PD).
