Prepare for Windows 11 - Arrange Items in Quick Settings
This article is based on Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.120.
Windows 11's Quick Settings have the same functionality as Windows 10's Action Center. You can choose quick actions as needed to adjust the brightness and volume of the display.
You can also launch "Settings" and call "System/Power & Battery". The layout has also changed in Windows 11, so let me introduce a simple operation method here.
Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.120 doesn't have a link like "Edit Quick Actions" in Windows 10. It would be more intuitive and easier to edit directly from the quick settings.
By the way, although clicking/tapping the notification area feels strange, the system icon with the network and speaker (power status in the case of a laptop) is treated specially. Before Windows 10, they were distinguished from function icons, app icons, and system icons, but I can't find any related items even if I look at "Settings" in Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.120.
Of course, I am fully aware that it is premature to make decisions based on the OS in the preview stage. However, the icon in the notification area has been unchanged for many years, so it seems that the handling may change in Windows 11.
