New MacBook Pro. Equipped with M1 Pro/Max and mini LED display
Equipped with the new M1 Pro/Max chip
The M1 Pro/Max is the first professional chip designed for the Mac. Using a system-on-chip (SoC) architecture, unified memory and increased memory bandwidth deliver best-in-class performance-per-watt and high power efficiency.
M1 Pro is equipped with up to 10-core CPU consisting of 8 high-performance cores and 2 high-efficiency cores, and up to 16-core GPU, up to 70% faster CPU performance than the previous M1, and up to Get 2x faster GPU performance. It achieves a maximum memory bandwidth of 200GB/s, which is nearly three times that of the M1, and supports a maximum of 32GB of high-speed unified memory. In addition, it adds a ProRes accelerator to the media engine for fast and power-efficient video processing.
The top M1 Max is equipped with the same 10-core CPU as the M1 Pro, and the GPU is doubled to 32 cores, achieving GPU performance up to 4 times faster than the M1. It also features up to 400GB/s memory bandwidth, which is double that of the M1 Pro and almost six times that of the M1, and up to 64GB of high-speed unified memory. 3D artists will be able to easily work with complex geometry and textures in their scenes.
The M1 Max also features a media engine enhanced by introducing two ProRes accelerators. Say you can edit up to 30 4K ProRes video streams or up to 7 8K ProRes video streams in Final Cut Pro.
Final Cut Pro4K rendering in Final Cut Pro is up to 9.2x faster on the M1 Pro and up to 13.4x faster on the M1 Max compared to the previous-generation high-end 13-inch model and the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M1 Max. . Rendering effects in Design DaVinci Resolve Studio is up to 3.6x faster on the M1 Pro and up to 5x faster on the M1 Max.
Logic ProRedshiftThe 14-inch model also supports up to 17 hours of video playback, seven hours longer than before. The 16-inch model is said to offer up to 21 hours of video playback.
