The country with the longest average internet usage time is the Philippines, and Japan is the lowest--according to Business Fiber research
Some parents blame their children for staying online all the time they are awake, which may be an exaggeration in the United States. Americans spend less time online than people in other countries. According to a recent survey, the United States is not even in the top five countries.
A survey compiled by broadband review site BusinessFibre.co.uk reveals the countries with the longest average Internet usage by the public. The survey also provides insights into gender and age groups who tend to spend more time online.
The survey found that the Philippines is the world's longest-running internet country, with about 10 hours online a day. Brazil, Thailand, and Colombia follow in second place, and the internet usage time is 9 hours or more per day.
According to the "DIGITAL 2019" report, the average connection speed of fixed internet lines in the United States is 109.48 Mbps, and the average connection speed of mobile internet is 32 Mbps.
Americans spend an average of 6 hours and 31 minutes a day on the Internet on all devices, ranking 19th in the rankings. The average daily mobile internet usage time for Americans is 2 hours and 24 minutes, and the average daily usage time on laptops, desktops and tablets is 4 hours and 7 minutes. The average social media usage time for Americans is 2 hours and 4 minutes.
The Internet usage rate for Americans aged 18-29 is 100%, and that for those aged 65 and over is 73%.
About 3 in 4 (76%) of Americans over the age of 13 use Facebook, about 2 in 5 (44%) use Instagram, and about 1 in 5 (17%). About 1 in 3 people (34%) use Snapchat on Twitter. In addition, more than half (59%) of Americans over the age of 18 use LinkedIn.
Internet usage on all British devices averages 5 hours and 46 minutes a day.
It seems that Japanese users can be more rewarding than spending time online. The average time spent on the Internet on all Japanese devices is 3 hours and 45 minutes a day, which is the lowest in the ranking. In Japan, 94% of the population is Internet users, but both mobile and computer users spend the least amount of time on the Internet.
