AMD Radeon PRO W6600X can be selected for desktop PC "Mac Pro"

AMD announced on March 8 (local time) that "AMD Radeon PRO W6600X" has been added as a graphics option to Apple's desktop PC "Mac Pro". The graphics module alone is also sold at the Apple store and can be purchased for 77,000 yen.

The AMD Radeon PRO W6600X is a graphics product that combines an AMD RDNA 2-based GPU with GDDR6 8GB of GPU memory. It is compatible with Apple's Mac Pro (2019), and requires the introduction of macOS Monterey 12.3 or later. Equipped with 2 HDMI terminals as output terminals, it supports 2 DisplayPort connections routed for video output via Thunderbolt 3. You can use up to four 4K displays, one 5K display, and two "Pro Display XDR".

In addition to Radeon PRO W6600X, Mac Pro also has Radeon PRO W6900X, Radeon PRO W6800X, and Radeon PRO W6800X Duo as options. In both cases, the graphics module is sold separately at the Apple Store, and it is possible to add it later.
